Exciting Virtual PD opportunity!!!!


TESL PHE will be organizing a highly interactive virtual spring PD event in collaboration with TESL Ontario Webinar team on June 21, 2020. The event will be open to all TESL Ontario members. Nonmembers can also apply but there will be a fee of $25.

Timings: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm 
PD Hours: 5 hours, lunch included
Registration: 35 CAD per person

Topic: Top ten secrets: How to succeed in Canada!

Summary of the presentation: There are many unwritten rules in Canada that learners and their families need to know to succeed socially and in schools & workplaces. The participants will learn about these secrets to succeed socially and in Canadian workplaces through a highly interactive workshop.

Anjum Karimi
Topic: Mindfulness

Presentation: 'People who meditate are happier, healthier, and more successful than those who don't.
Mindfulness has proven to be as effective as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a staple of the clinical psychology world (Kocovski, Fleming, Hawley, Huta, & Antony, 2013). It has therapeutic focus of stress, anxiety, or other mental health problems.
